How far up there do you put it? haha. I use Nuva Ring and my period overlaps with when I need to put my ring back in. That just sounds like too much stuff shoved up my twat at once.
What do you do when you empty it in a public bathroom (like at work) to wash it out and reinsert?
This is the only thing stopping me from buying it.
Honestly, I really don't empty it in a public bathroom. You can keep it in for up to 12 hours, so I usually just empty it in the morning and when I get home from work.
I've heard others mention that if they really need to empty it in a public bathroom, they pour the contents into the toilet and wipe it out with TP before putting it back in.

I'd say it rests about mid-way up in my hoo-ha. I hear ya about the Nuvaring, but if they're placed right, you shouldn't even feel it.

Interesting! I think it's funny that I'm all about the Nuva Ring but the idea of the Diva Cup totally weirds me out. I usually don't have a period though, so I don't really need to worry about it too much haha.
OK, I'm going to order it! Just read tons of reviews on it as well as each of yours. Let's hope I can figure it out when it arrives and I need it.
Sweet! Let me know if you have any more questions. I won't lie, it took me 2 cycles to really get the hang of it. At first, I found it easy to insert, but harder to take out. Just try to relax your muscles down there as much as possible.

Im the same way. I have the Nuva Ring but the idea of Diva Cup freaks me out.
And I've got a question for you. You said that you usually don't get a period. How is that so with Nuva Ring? You're supposed to take it out to get your period and put a new one in a week later. That usually prompts a period. Am I missing something?

I leave mine in four 4 weeks straight and just switch it out for a new ring at the end of the 4th week. It's amazing. UH MAY ZINGGGGG. Fuck menstruation!! Seriously I'm terrible at being a girl. I'll take out my tampon and just TOTALLY forget I'm on my period and then 3 hours later I'm bleeding in my pants. Having a uterus is so fun.

I seriously just spit my lunch onto my computer screen...

I used the Diva cup for a couple months before I got my IUD put in and I agree w/ Haines that it was harder to get out than to put in. I had to kind of bear down and push it out a bit to really get it.
Now that my IUD just got taken out I'm planning on using it again - it was nice not dealing with tampons. I didn't sleep with it though - I hate sleeping with things all up in me.

I tried the four week thing and I spotted like crazy!! Oh it sucked so bad, I'm not back on the 3 weeks on, 1 week off and it is heaven! My period is light and only about 3 days... plus it helps with the PMS, although I've noticed I'm more weepy now than ragey, but D prefers that!!

You could try with 3, you'd just have to buy more rings throughout the year. My period has gotten a little lighter but it's still a 7 day long pain in the vagina, and I just refuse to deal with it!!! lol

DDD for Prezident... My ring was due to come out today (TMI perhaps) but Im going to try your theory and just swap it out! I would soooooo love to lose the whole period thing!!!

HOLLLAAAA I hope it works for you!! Some people get a little spotting the first cycle or so around switchin' time, but I don't have any spotting anymore as long as I change it on time!
