After trying on a million, including the new Adidas that have that new material (loved them, but the heel was wonky), I went back to the mizuno wave riders. I thought I was Brooks 4 Lyfe, but $150 for glycerin is just too much and the ghosts just don't fit right.
I wore them on my 7-ish miles today and so far so good. I was worried because the last wave riders I had gave me a weird bruise on my ankle. These don't seem to have the same heel construction.
On my phone, so no pic, but they are super bright pink ones with the apple green mizuno logo.
In other news, I have my iPad but can't post from it, typing on my phone sucks, and I am SO TIRED of reading bad essays.
You tried the Adidas Boost? With the super-squashy soles? That was one of the pairs I tried recently and thought that the softness underfoot would throw me off.
Yay for new shoes!!! Mine came in the mail today. I went back to Asics from Brooks. I used to solely be Asics. They all need to stop changing their shoes!! Taking them for a spin in the morning. We'll see....I've never had this model before. I hope you continue to like your's!
I love your watermelon shoes! I'm glad you got to get pretty shoes this time (not that I thought your previous shoes were not pretty, of course!). I love Mizunos.

Yay for fun new shoes! I ended up with the Glycerins and was able to get the electric blue. My first pair of non-pink shoes (they kept putting me in wide-widths so I could only get boring colors, but these fit me really well). I didn't try the Wave Riders. What difference did you see in them, if any? I took the hit with the Brooks because they felt really good, and needed a new pair since the last ones I had wrecked my calves after only 125 miles.
As for the essays - it is scary the quality of writing that comes out of "honors/AP" students. Heck, I've seen horrible stuff come out of college juniors. I can only imagine the pain you're enduring right now.

I went from glycerines to wave riders as well. I love the wave rider 16 so far.

Ugh pressed done before in was. I find they are very similar but lighter which I liked. The glycerine is great but too heavy for me. The wave rider is similar but lighter. You may like them. Plus fun colors lol

They're so much lighter. They're a bit stiffer, too, but that's fine with me.

I'll have to consider them next time. Seems like I still can't find the right shoe. Each new fitting seems come as a result of the previous ones wrecking my calves. I *think* I like the Brooks, but my one leg is still hurting from last week's strain, so I don't know yet.
I'm surprised that AP kids don't write good essays!
Glad you like your new shoes!
I'm at well over a thousand and have read maaaaybe 20 that would make the A cut in my class. Depressing.
This is my personal hell. I am on a scholarship committee and we typically have 200 or so applicants and most of the essays are SO bad. I can't imagine reading 1,000 essays, even if they are AP essays.
My "waiting in the wings" pair is pink & green, love them!
Confession: I am not wearing them for my tri tomorrow because I didn't want to take the pink laces out to put on my navy blue speed laces. I put the speed laces on a pair of gray shoes instead.

speed laces?
ETA: I Googled, those look pretty cool. I was hoping they'd make me faster.
I am still rocking the 14's because I bought a bunch on sale and am hoarding them I am so excited for the new colors of the 16's. I am digging the aqua an pink ones.
I "heart" Mizunos:) I have wide feet so I'm limited to only one color:(
I was a wide too, but the new Wave Inspires 9 have almost the entire toe box as mesh, which means it always for more room. I found that with that change, I didn't need a wide afterall. Might check it out if get a chance.
