Yes, always. I figure it will keep her sweet, since Hobbes is a horrifyingly bad groom "client". She only charges us $5 for his sanitary shave, but I always give her a $10 and call the rest hazard pay.
I tip $5 for Dot, as well, but her groom is $25, so it's not quite as impressive a percentage.

I think so. I would tip more if your dog is poorly behaved or had some sort of tough work to be done (i.e. skunked or matted or whatnot). But for a standard groom, that's what I'd do.

I always tip, even though our groomer is also the owner. Sometimes one of the other girls gives B his bath or trims his nails, so I don't want them to be left out. I usually tip about $8 on a $40 groom. I figure, if I tip 20% for my haircuts, it should be about the same for B's.
Yeah, makes total sense. I hope she wasn't poorly behaved - especially since the groomer is letting her play there all day for free. That's probably worth a little extra tip, too, I suppose.

thankfully now I have dogs that do not need to be groomed but when I did, I always tipped. I had a mobile groomers come to my house and after I tipped, I spent more on my dogs haircut than I did on my own..
