So today I decided I wanted to get an iPhone 5, and I have a 2.5 year old iPhone 4. I went to radio shack, where they are presently offering iPhone 5s for $149.99 with a two year agreement. They gave me $142.50 for my old iPhone 4! So new iPhone cost $7.50 plus tax. The lady was so nice and was able to ensure that I kept my 7 year old unlimited data plan which is grandfathered in on AT&T.
Definitely a MM win for today. Of course after I bought apple care, a new case, and an extra usb to lightning cord the total was $175. Why do those new lightning adapters cost $30?!

I wonder if they can do this for Verizon? Probably not knowing my luck. Unlimited data really is the best deal for DH.
That's awesome! We have 4s, too, and I'm tempted to just go do that deal instead of waiting until fall for the next release. But that will render us ineligible to get the new one at the prorated price, and I know we'll want it when it comes out. Sigh. Our electronics habit is definitely not MM.

So after using my iPhone 5 for a day I am pretty happy with it. It is SO much faster with the LTE than on the 3G network. And since I backed up my old iPhone right before I brought it in, once I plugged the new one into my laptop it immediately restored my apps, texts, contacts, photos, etc.
Also after a few days in rice, my iPhone is back to life. Amazing. Now I have a phone to trade in. (Keeping my boss' iPhone 4 until Sept, then will give it back when I upgrade).
