So, I have kind of abandoned the c25k program at this point. I just set a goal and time myself. Basically, I try to go at least as long as I went the time before and maybe add 2-3 minutes. You know that I am not even worried about how far I am actually going.
That being said, I have some interesting news. It used to take me 10 minutes pretty consistently to go one time around my loop. Now it is 9!
In other news, Brad finally thought to look up how far the loop actually is. I assumed (based on my times) that it was significantly less than a mile. If the info he found is correct, it is actually .95 of a mile, which means I am running around a 10 minute mile. I think that is pretty good- especially since I assumed I was closer to a 12 minute mile. Of course, there is always the chance that his info is wrong and I am delusional, but at least for today, I am going to pretend it is right.
This also means that my 27 minutes is getting pretty close to 5k.

You are way to hard on yourself, muddled. You are doing great, give yourself some credit!
I haven't done a lick of exercise since Wednesday, when I got my stitches. I've been active, playing catch football and such, but I haven't got on my bike or anything.
But you are constantly taking it back! Don't say, I run a 10 minute mile, but I could be delusional and my H probably can't measure right.
Say: I RUN A 10 MINUTE MILE BITCHES!
Ha. I'd trust it more if he had measured it. He found something online, but he didn't find it more than once and I haven't looked yet. So, it really could be wrong, but if it's not...

Wow muddled. That is excellent news! And you're right, after a certain point in c25k its just about upping time ran, yes? I'm jealous. Going to start week 4 today. Eep.
Go muddled! You should be super proud of yourself!
I jumped back on the running horse after 6 weeks off . . . and it was not pretty. I've been getting up at 7am to run while it's still "cool," but it's been above 70 both times I've run, and after the first mile I feel like I'm going to die. I can't tell if it's the heat, the humidity, the time off, or the fact that I'm STILL getting over a cold. Probably all. Oh well, I'm not going to give up.

Prob humidity has the biggest impact. Most days lately I feel like I have never run before when I'm out in it.

I think I'm going to just stick to walking this week with some good upbeat music and try working up to the C25K stuff. I've been pretty inactive for a long time, and with today being day 3 of my walking my leg muscles are kind of in shock and a little sore. Although I did manage to get through all 3 miles of my walk this morning! Yay Me!

Good job! Is doing this every day going to be sustainable for you? Don't forget to give yourself a break!

I will probably keep with it 5 days a week, and reserve the weekends for smaller walks with DS. Once upon a time, many years ago, I used to go to the gym twice a day Mon - Thurs (cardio in the am, and weights in the pm) and once on Fridays for cardio. If I don't consistently get up and do it every day (at least during the week), I will get lazy and not do it at all. I will probably alternate days and do the 3 mile walk 3 days a week and the 2 mile version the other two. Or maybe pick a new, shorter walk for those 2 days for a change of scenery.
