Have you checked Talbots for a suit? It seems kind of old lady (and I like a lot of old lady things) but they have some really nice choices for tailored pieces.

captainmel I haven't looked there. I'm been eyeing a few at NY&Co. but I haven't been able to pull the trigger. Maybe I'll look at Talbots, too (which, yes, seems old lady to me, but I don't care if I come out with a good suit).
- the right size bra, in the right cut/shape for you. - flattering, well-tailored jeans (mine are Joe's honey fit) - plain, well-fitting t-shirt (can be cotton or cotton/poly blend; v-neck, crew neck, or scoop neck) - a great cardigan (or a few) - simple, well-fitting shoes (like my black flats, which are Bloch or black heels, which are Ivanka Trump Amoro)
If the bra doesn't count, then I'd like to add a well-fitting/tailored statement dress that's still work-appropriate (not too low-cut, not too short a hem). Mine is a knee-length red cap-sleeved dress, fitted, with folding/pleating at the neckline. And it has pockets!
Pencil Skirt Brooks Brothers Non iron shirt. Mine are 6 years old and still look brand new and I've never ironed them ever. I can wear them all day long and they still look polished. A accessory that is trendy, I'm in Design so I can be funky. Currently it's neon skinny belts. Ballet Flats I can keep under my desk to go to job sites instead of heels a classic sheath dress. Very flattering and always in style
My Home wardrobe I wear the same Brooks shirts but sleeves rolled up. Mint skinny Jeans a patterned silk or faux silk tee. (looks dressed up but so lazy) Flip flops, currently are sanusk made out of recycled yoga mats so comfy. A lined skirts
