Do you ever forget to look at the price sticker?

Because I just bought a $45 ruler. It is getting returned tomorrow. I was chatting with a friend and wasn't paying attention.

No, but I've been known to say, "Um what is that price?" and when they say it's legit I just tell them nevermind.

It is a super fancy ruler! I really want to keep it but I can think of a lot better things to spend $45 on. Like maybe groceries for a week.

I wish I had a picture of Boyfriend's face when I told him how much I spent on a ruler. He was like... "Um, maybe you should pay more attention when you get the credit card out..."

H recently accidentally spent $60 on two steaks at whole foods. He read the wrong sign and was so shocked by the price he got flustered and just paid to get the hell out of there. They were good, but not $60 good, considering we had to make them ourselves.

I have done this at Target, assuming everything is $7.99 and not even looking until I get home.

Now I'm too much of a tight wade to do that. I think I know where every price check machine in every store in the area is.

Not exactly the same thing, but I somehow managed to walk out of the store with 2 bottles of shampoo instead of one conditioner and one shampoo. H thinks I should take one back and exchange it for the conditioner, but I think I'm just going to stick it in the closet. It's not like it's going to go to waste. But I felt pretty silly when I got home and realized what I'd done.

I'm only telling this story because it happened to me last week.

I always buy my shampoo and conditioner at the same time. I rotate a few brands I like and purchase what I have a coupon for. When I went to grab new bottles of shampoo and conditioner last week, there were only two bottles of this particular brand under the sink, so I figure, one has to be shampoo and one has to conditioner.

I didn't notice I had two bottles of shampoo until a few days later. I did notice my hair was a frizzy mess, but I figured it was the humidity. Nope, I'm just a dumbass and not only did I not put any conditioner in my hair, I washed it with shampoo twice.
