It's dead here today. And I'm dead tired. Night # whatever of absolutely no sleep thanks to PF's feeding pump constantly sounding the alarm about flow being cut off. The positions she gets herself into are ridiculous and have started pinching off the tubing.

::hugs:: Dixie.
Don't remind me that it's Thursday. I'm having a lot of anxiety because my last day is tomorrow. It's very surreal.
I tired to cut the kids hair the other night. It was so cute, scraggly with some curls. It's just that his hair was getting into his eyes and making him scratch the back of his neck. I only wanted to trim it a little and I ended up with this:

The tubing getting pinched doesn't bug her. She doesn't even wake up when the pump starts beeping. Just means that i have to wake up, change her position, move the tubing and attempt to go back to sleep. Until she moves again. The stinker.
I went to the chiropractor today. He uses gentle techniques (the little thing that delivers pinpoint pressure), no popping. I feel a million times better and am so relaxed I want to take a nap. Amazing. So glad my insurance covers chiropractic, and with only a $10 copay. I'm trying to make the most of my time off, so I'm planning to meet a friend for lunch today.

Feel sorry for my kid.
LOL. MIL gave the boys a haircut a couple months ago, the first thing DH said when he saw them was "So Ma, which bowl did you use? Soup or cereal?" She was less than amused.
It's hard giving little ones haircuts. I am so, so glad DD is old enough to enjoy trips to the salon.

I feel like someone should have warned me. Some kind of tag when he was born.
WARNING! HE'S A BOY. BOYS HAIR IS HARD TO CUT. YOU NEED TO TAKE HIM SOMEWHERE. ALSO, HE WILL BE STICKY 99% OF THE TIME AND SO WILL YOU.

I wish I had never cut it.
It was so cute before. There was just too much pressure from the grandparents! "When are you going to cut his hair? It's getting long. He's so hot. Poor guy scratched his neck."

LOL, ps! I've done the home hair cut on DS to get the hair out of his eyes... Once. After that I found a salon that caters to kids. Cartoons on tv's at every station and each chair is a car, plane, or truck. DS loves getting his hair cut now! And it's not too bad price wise, thank goodness because his hair grows really fast!
DS told me the other day that H's dog wants us to get him a puppy. A black one named Licorice.
I would try to foster if I could, but I would end up keeping every single one. I'm a marshmallow when it comes to animals.
When we first get a new foster dog, I always think, "Nope. No way I'm going to want this one." And then 3-4 weeks later, I'm already in love with them.

Why didn't you tell me before I made this horrible mistake!

Umm... Because you didn't ASK? I'm happy to share my parenting mishaps if it will stop someone from making the same mistake I did! But I don't usually offer unsolicited, mostly because I hate it when people do that to me. That and I am painfully aware of the fact that there are those moms out there who do amazing things and hair cutting is among those talents, it's just not one of MY talents.

I can't find one of these salons anywhere near where I live. Stupid boon-docks.
I've gotten pretty good at trimming DS' bangs, but the rest, fah-getaboutit. I took him to my ex-SIL's salon twice, but he was too wiggly to get much done. So, for now he is just going to have long hair.
In regards to little boys hair cuts, my mom just bought a trimmer for like $30 and does all of myx little brothers head. He likes it because he doesn't have to comb his hair at all.
