Just FYI, there are Panache bras on Zulily right now. I've seen them mentioned as a good brand. I just bought one in my "new" size, 34FF. I thought it was worth the $13 gamble. I've worn 36D forever. We'll see how well I sized myself!
Because people assume that D+ cup size = massive pornstar tits.
Its relative to band size and all the other shit I spout from my soapbox on the subject.
Yes, yes, YES!
I like this chart from Fig leaves. I was wearing 34D and 36C. I had issues with my band riding up, my straps falling down. When I measured properly I discovered I was a 31. So according to this chart I tried 30E and 32DD and walla! Perfect depending on the brands. The cup sizes ARE THE SAME in the 34D, 36C, 32DD and 30E. Cray but true. The band is where it's at!

According to the linked video, I am a 34G. I followed Pinterest directions that were a bit more detailed and got a 34F. I think I probably am a bit more of a 34E, my cups aren't completely filled. Follow the tutorials, then go to a store and try a bunch on. My boobies are MUCH happier in the 34Fs, though, although I'm still getting used to the tighter band size (I wore a 36D before).

I tested this today. I have been wearing a 36C and measuring said I should be a 30DDD. The nearest size I could find in the store was a 32DD and I was getting quad-boob. So yeah, I'd say it's probably pretty accurate. I can't wait to find a bra that actually fits me! YAY!

This is exactly it. I'm honestly aghast at what my new/real size is, using this method. Embarrassed, even, which is so dumb. I'm still kind of in denial about it. But I went and tried some on at Nordstrom Rack and I think it's correct! (They didn't have exactly the right size in stock, but I tried similar and it was definitely close.) Way better than the bras I'm wearing currently.
Well, not down with it... but they certainly do need to get their shit together. And places like VS need to stop propagating their shitty incorrect sizing.

I've been considering ducking out of work and heading to Nordstrom all morning. lol.
If I wasn't heading to the cabin in an hour, I'd pick you up and go with you! BOOB FIELDTRIP! (I went to TJMaxx this morning)
Since the vast majority of us are wearing > DD with the correct bra sizing, why the EFF don't "normal" stores carry these brands/sizes?!
Because its the same as vanity sizing and real clothing. More material = more cost to make, and also the myth that anything above a D = ginormous hooters, aaaaaand because there's no universal sizing guidelines and since everyone is wearing the wrong size right now their sales show these are the sizes to stock, andandandplusalso they dont know wtf either.

I love how there is a bra thread once a week that has multiple page replies.
Seriously, I do love it. It drives me nuts how misinformed people are about their bra size. I had a friend that was talking about a bathing suit top she found, and she was like 'they had it in my size! grabbed the last DD!'. My eyes nearly rolled out of my head. She was trying to stuff herself into a 38DD. I showed her how to fit herself, and lo and behold, she really wears a 34H. It amazing the difference in fit and appearance when you have a tighter band.
Its hard to be eloquent while frothing at the mouth.
PS: Last time I saw my mom she looked at me suspiciously and asked if my boobs got bigger (read: ARE YOU PREGNANT??) and I said no, I was just wearing the correct bra for the first time ever. I don't think she believed me.

This is the first time I've actually read one of these bra threads and I am so intrigued now.
I've never been fitted for a bra. I'm totally trying this method now. I have been having a problem with my strap riding up in the back, so I hope this helps.
