Jack asked to try my wine once. I held it up for him to drink, he took a wiff and was repulsed. I knew that would be his reaction.
This of course was in my home so all of you judgy judgers wouldn't see!
same here. And another time she actually tried the beer. She hated it. I knew it before she tried. A cocktail would be different I guess because it can taste like juice but one sip is nbd IMO. :::shrug:::
funny because DH gave Anna a sip of diet coke and I looked at him all horrified and pearl-clutchy. And he was like "um didn't you give her BEER the other day?"
So, when I was about 3, my parents had a big holiday party. This was the early 80's, so everyone was like "Aw, give that little cutie a sip of wine!" Multiplied times like 15.
20 minutes later, I was passed out in the hall. I've lived to tell the tale! And I'm only a little bit of an alcoholic.

I haven't given my kids a taste, but they always ask for one. I don't think occasional sips are a big deal, but if they like it, I don't want them always asking me for more
when I was little, my dad would always let me have a sip of his beer and it was NBD. I don't know if it's something my mom noticed, but she never said anything
My mom used to mix coffee, milk, and kahlua. I was always agitated because I thought it was chocolate milk. She eventually let me taste it so I would STFU about chocolate milk every time she had a drink. And here I am, a grown woman who rarely drinks.
