I seriously have not had a friend go through the financing process that didn't have to do some sort of gymnastics. Not looking forward to our turn. I'm sure it'll be okay!

Lol
Are you using their lender too? Effers.
We are comparing two lenders. We were pre-approved through a separate lender before signing the contract. We just received estimated closing costs with their lender. They give some kind of bullshit credit, but it looks like the monthly amount is higher from what our other lender put together for us. We'll compare the two before we make a decision.

Good idea. We had started with another bank but we would have had to pay all of the closing costs and I have much better place for all that cash to go. Lol
It looks like the builder's lender's closing costs with our house are higher. No bueno! Good luck with the process - I know it's stressful!
Lurker chiming in... We just built new and I got a whole list o' stuff from the processor (builders lender here too) about 90 days out saying all docs need to be in 60 days prior to close. So I busted my ass to get everything together, sent it in at the 60 day mark and the processor calls and tells me I am sending things WAAYY too early and they'll let me know when they need stuff. Oooookay then! I had to just let it go and trust they knew what they were doing.
The whole build process was definitely one I the most stressful things I've ever done . Worth it now though! Good luck you're almost there!
Not sure who you're going through but if it is navy fed, you're prob fine. I am really shocked about how lax they are. GL!
No. We went with the builder's lender because they're paying most of our closing costs.
But the LO and the other two underwriters were good. And our bases are covered should we have to go another route to get it taken care of, it's just a pain in the ass. Especially the damn appraisal fee.
I was in a similar situation - new build, 7 month escrow, switching type of loan midway, ridiculous last minute requests from the underwriter, etc. I feel you. Deep breaths. This will soon pass & you will be so happy in your house.
