I have a twy sentwa.
DD2 is sick, so DH went yesterday and bought soup and crackers for her. I was carrying her across the kitchen, and she saw the bag of oyster crackers and said, "I want the hexagon crackers in my soup."
They are indeed little hexagons. Thank you, Sesame Street!
On another sick-kid note, she has a runny nose and keeps saying, "Mama, I need an issue."
"You mean, a tissue?"
"No, an ISSUE!"
And then DH and I get to joke about giving her issues. Or that she's got issues. LOL. We're mean parents.
H's ex showed up at the party we were at last night. A mutual friend invited her. All the girls around me tsk tsk'ed me and "if that were my husband..."'ed me because I didn't pull H away from her when they were chatting. That made me feel worse than her actually being there. And the friend who invited her came over to me and apologized. Like if you thought it would be awkward, why invite her in the first place? It was worse because everyone else was making a big deal out of it.
We're going to the mermaid parade today! I love the mermaid parade. Boobs, drinks, sun, and fun. We're going to ride our bikes down. I'm excited.
We're enroute on our way back from my grandparents house with some furniture.H and I were up until 1am looking through photos and papers. It was bittersweet
We woke up this morning and walked downstairs to find the lamp in the sitting room had inexplicably tturned back on in the night. I'm taking that as a sign that they were ok with us being there
I am going to Old Navy and The Gap because they have killer sales today! Then I am having a massage later :)Hopefully this will fix the problem I am having with my back while I sleep!
I got an email about $8 dresses at ON... But it didn't say which dresses. Annoyed!
Someone else posted about the sale being a waste of time and it was. The dresses on sale look more like nightgowns to me. Oh well!
@lazerus24 that is brilliant. If my kids weren't sleep in teen types, I'd be all over Sue's advice.
There are so many things I want to dot his weekend, I can't figure out where to start. Unfortunately, washing the dogs and cleaning out their ears are on the have-to-do list and all three of them are afraid of water. And ear cleaning.
Pay a groomer! You deserve all the shortcuts in life right now.
WHAT! How long are you? I can't see tickers on my phone. Keep us updated!
I'm 36 weeks and a few days, so it would be pretty early IMO.
Looks like it's not my water breaking, but now they're holding me longer because my blood pressure is high. FML.
Fucking BP. It's probably just from thinking that you were sitting in amniotic fluid at 36 w. Are they giving you anything, or just going to retest in a short while?
I taught my kid how to start the coffee pot. Because inevitably he is the first one up every day. Thanks suesue for telling me to do this. Genius. I'm trying to find other ways to put the little stinker to work.
This is one of the few posts on here that makes me reconsider my anti-kid (for me) stance.
I'm considering a keurig. He is four. He can totally do it. Lol.

I took some blood work and a urine test, those results should take an hour. They said I might have to be induced though. H is heading up here now.
H, Ollie and I went for a run with a friend this morning. I have to admit that I felt really badass running with a jogging stroller while wearing my tough mudder finisher shirt.
During nap we're having scheduled sex and then tonight I'm going out and getting shitfaced and dancing with my girlfriends! I'm SO excited!

I hope you get to go home, but if they wind up inducing you now, medicine is crazy advanced and I'm sure you'll both be just fine. Thinking good thoughts anyway.

I'm meant to go to a 30th birthday party at this posh bar in London and I just want to stay on the couch. I don't want to pay £12 for a cocktail. And I don't want to get up and get all dressed up.
Yeah!!! No baby! All my test results came back awesome so they think it was just a fluke thing after looking over my records (I've had like perfect blood pressure this whole time)
I'm so happy. Celebratory Mexican food! Keep cooking, baby!

No spicy food lady!! hahah I am glad you are ok!
Tators - where did you get that onesie? Your kiddo is super cute.
being back at work has really made me appreciate my weekends with the baby more. i have had the best day, and all we did was errands and play with her on her playmat while she chatted and squealed all afternoon. she is the happiest baby ever. i love her so much!
also, when do babies start mimicking you? bc for the past few days she copies us when we blow raspberries. i'm trying to decide how much of a genius my baby is, lol.
