DH was getting ready to go fishing at 5:30 this morning and woke up DS. H tried to put him back down and then H left. Of course DS didn't fall back asleep and so we've been up since 5:30 after having gone to bed at 11 last night. We have a birthday party at 1 and friends coming over at 5. We don't have time to be this tired. Blah.

DH is taking a test today and we all awoke to the smoke alarm in our house for no reason. It only did one series of 3 beeps (plus computer man saying Fire, Fire in the kids' rooms.) They are hardwired so everyone got the pleasure of a fire drill at 5am and didn't go back to sleep.
Nice way for DH to wake up on test day:(
I have a baby shower to go to and we are getting our pictures taken for water park season passes! Prices are a bit out of control and there are no family passes, so we don't usually get passes. Gparents are not interested in getting them passes for xmas or bday. But they do give random $5 bills all the time. So each kid had an envelope on the fridge and every time they got $5, it went into the envelope until they had the $70 for the ticket. I'm excited bc all 3 kids are at a great age to enjoy it!
I taught my kid how to start the coffee pot. Because inevitably he is the first one up every day. Thanks suesue for telling me to do this. Genius. I'm trying to find other ways to put the little stinker to work.
I confess to being a husband packer. We went on a trip with his race team and one guy forgot socks and one guy forgot his freakin' shoes. Nobody packed for the cold, rainy weather. I, however, am a crazy over-packer and usually pack for armageddon so H had everything he needed.

Nice. Now you just need to teach him how mommy likes her coffee. By the time I was school age, I was bringing my mom the coffee and newspaper in the morning to get my hair done for school.
I am going to Old Navy and The Gap because they have killer sales today! Then I am having a massage later :)Hopefully this will fix the problem I am having with my back while I sleep!
My in-laws come in town Monday. Last visit didn't go well. Hopefully it will go better this time since I have a chore list for them. Haha! They actually need stuff to do. They just cannot sit and relax on vacation.
Normally I'm not afraid of spiders. But recently when I've been scooping the basement litterbox these HUGE spiders come skittering out of the litter. So I go all ninja and stab them with the litter scoop until they are DEAD.
Totally freaks me out. WTF are they in the litterbox besides lying in wait to try and eat my cats?
I took Leila to the vet yesterday. She's on prednisolone for her IBD so she has to have blood pulled every once in a while to make sure her liver is tolerating the steroid. She's put on nearly 3 POUNDS since she was diagnosed last summer. And she's a little cat (typically 7 to 8 pounds) so 3 pounds is a huge difference. She's now nearly 9 pounds and she's getting a cute little belly!
I am having a hard time making decisions over ridiculous inconsequential details, like which way an elephant's trunk should go on an embroidery project. It's so dumb.

I worked for a couple hours last night and it was so nice. I wish I could get my company to agree to me working at night- I get 4 hours of day work done in less than half the time since I don't have my phone ringing off the hook/ a million "OMG THIS FILE NEEDS RUSHED!" Requests.
Today people are coming over and I'm getting the house ready while DH took DS to get a haircut/ go grocery shopping. I am loving this peace and quiet!
I have a HUGE bragplaint. We got the appraisal in for our ranch in Colorado. Every hurdle has been jumped and now all we have to do is sign the paperwork. Now for the bragplaint: We sign the paperwork mid July but we will only be up there for a short weekend to sign the papers and we won't take possession that day. They're staying for two additional weeks and I have to wait till my August school break to enjoy my view. I can't begin to express how thrilled I am.
My husband & I are going to a wedding tonight while my parents watch the girls! 6:15 cannot come fast enough! I am ready for a few hours alone with my husband so we can relax & enjoy ourselves
I sort of lied to get out of a bridal shower. Dh was lot and was supposed to be home Thursday, he told me Friday morning he'd try his best to be home to take des to his last game and so I could go to the shower. I told him I could make other arrangements. I couldn't find anyone to take him so my mom picked up dd last night. My lie is dh got home late last night and I didn't tell anyone and I'm to going o the shower! It's 2 hours away and for my moms cousins daughter. I have not seen her in probably 12 years. My mom, grand,a and aunt are going to be there and I sent a gift. I'm food right? Lol! I'm on my porch drinking coffee and am going to get a pedi later on.

I got a personal best time running a 5k this morning. Finished in 29:07. It's 15 seconds better than the last 5k I ran, but I was still kind of disappointed that I didn't run 8 seconds faster. I'm the least competitive person I know, yet I'm being weirdly competitive with myself.

This is one of the few posts on here that makes me reconsider my anti-kid (for me) stance.
We are off to wedding events. Bride & Groom are renting a suite tonight at the Indians game & tomorrow is the reception at a fancy restaurant. No kids allowed & I'm thrilled.
I am super hungry, but nothing sounds good and making breakfast seems like so much work right now. H usually handles breakfast on Saturday morning, but he is OOT. I also slept really horribly last night, and woke up feeling crummy. I just want to lay on the couch all day and do nothing.

D woke up at 6 this morning and is super crabby. I think I should just send her back to bed.
We're trying out a new church tonight and I'm kinda nervous. I hope it's a good fit.
This week has been one of the worst I've had mentally in a very long time. I don't know what brought it on but it almost scared me. I'm so ready for my appointment on Tuesday.
I did the insanity fit test this morning and it was not pretty. But hey, at least I did it lol.
It's a really beautiful day and H invited me to go see his cousin's softball game with him, but I'd rather sit on the recliner and watch Secret Life on Netflix.

I'm doing our taxes this morning (finally!! but there is no penalty, we don't owe). I can't complete them until I dig up our property taxes from last year so they can tell us we don't qualify for the trillium home owners benefit. I don't feel like scrolling that far back on my online banking. Blargh. I guess we should have saved our statements. I just shredded this years statement so I have this setback to look forward to again in 2014. FUN.

suite @ the game? That's a GREAT idea. Your pals (family?) are AWESOME.
