I like to bake on the weekends (WFD?)

Today I'm going to bake some blackberry cobbler because we got a ton of blackberries in our CSA share. What's everyone else cooking up for dessert/dinner?

We're supposed to have soup and salad, but I would much rather get take-out or eat out or anything other than mess up my kitchen.

Pizza, Mexican, Thai, anything.

H is out of town at a basketball camp, so W and I had grilled cheese sandwiches.

I had 3 over-ripe bananas sitting on the counter, so I made some banana bread. It turned out really well, I hope I can remember what I did (banana bread is like meatloaf for me--just throw a bunch of stuff together and see if it works).

I'm only halfway through it and I can already feel my heartburn flaring up, but it's delicious.

 I realize it is June and really hot here, but we are having chicken noodle soup. 

DD2 is sick and she loves her daddy's homemade soup. So he made a pot and it's been simmering away all afternoon, and I've got noodles cooking that we'll eat shortly. 

DH and DD1 are at a crawfish boil at our next-door neighbors, so they have been grazing on crawfish, red beans & rice, and corn on the cob all afternoon.

H made burgers with cheddar cheese, caramelized onions and pepper jam. It is SO good.

We had chipotle chicken skewers, avocado sauce, rice and tomato-corn salad.

Dessert is beer, lol.

I made the saddest beef burritos ever. I made the meat before I realized we had no sour cream...or guacamole...or beans....or lettuce.

So,tortillas stuffed with meat and cheese.

And frozen peas. Lol.
