I don't think I've ever had the real deal Chicago or New York style. But, when I was in DC I think the Chicago style I had came pretty close, and it was damn good. I usually don't love thin crust pizza.
Oh god legit NY from NY. It really is incredible if youve had the real deal.
Also, those crispy hot dogs in NY/NJ.
Yes I have but we can't get that around here. The thin crust here tends to be kind of chewy. We have Uno's Pizzeria and their thin crust is pretty good.

Well, I live in the suburbs of Chicago, so my answer is definitely Chicago style deep dish. Giordano's is my favorite with Rosati's being a good second place.
Real NY pizza isn't crisp. It's got a nice crust on the bottom, the dough has a bit of chew. The crust may be a little crisp, but that's just so you can hold it better. A good NY pizza is the only REAL pizza. I can't eat it in other parts of the country. Like bagels. It's defiantly the water that makes the difference.
I like thin crust, but I like my crust nearly burned, so I'm guessing my favorite is something NYers would consider "not pizza" and it's certainly not Chicago style. I can't stand too much sauce and like it loaded up with pepperoni. There's a place in Portland that makes pizza perfect for me.
