i've never been to the ringling museum, but that is the only one i might try.
i'd go to the florida aquarium in tampa if you are the aquarium type. and, honestly, i'd rather go to the new dali museum in st. pete instead of the ringling. not sure if you'd be interested, but the zoo is fantastic (and i would do that over the aquarium).

spedrunner, i'm not toally familiar with how st. armand's is set up...what kind of stores are you looking for?
i have never been to the cooper hawk winery, but i have been to keel and curley in plant city. the wine is made from blueberries and its super sweet, but the place is beautiful.
I have been to the Ringling Museum and I love it there. It's one of my favorite places in Sarasota. When DH first tried to bring me there I thought it would be a museum of "circus" things, but I was surprised it was not that way at all. I thought it was beautiful and think it's worth seeing. Not sure about the others though.

As far as shops nothing specific more of a place too walk around outdoors with little restaurants and shops

you could go to hyde park. ybor city has some shops too, but i'm not really sure how great it is over there anymore. its been a while since i've actually paid attention when i'm down there.
i also think beach drive in st. pete is good for shopping and stuff (its where the dali is)
I don't think I know any of then places you mentioned. What a bad Floridian! Ybor city is nice during the day and early evening. Later it becomes a big party place and the freaks come out. But I've had fun even then too. If you like vintage clothing "Viva la France" is great if only to look at their stuff. There are a few good restaurants on 7th ave.
