C's got a nasty cold, and I feel so bad for him. I can't find part of the nosefrida, so I have no way of suctioning him out (the bulbs do nothing for us). I have a new nosefrida being delivered tomorrow.
I'm currently giving tylenol which seems to help him, but he is SCREAMING when it's sleep time. Last night we took a walk with him in the ergo at 10 pm...first time doing that ever, but I'm not going to let him cry if he's clearly in pain.
Any other tips? Does the vicks on the feet actually do anything, and is it regular vicks, or a baby kind? I'm headed to target this afternoon so if you have any other ideas I can pick them up.
This morning at the grocery store he was "blowing" his nose into my chest while making a motorboat action with his head. Quite the scene, lol.

Yes, the vicks on the feet does help. Get the baby vicks.
If he's really congested sit in the bathroom with him with the shower running on hot to get the steam to help loosen things up. A humidifier helps too.
I'm sorry he's sick. It sucks when they're so little because there is almost nothing you can give them, you just have to wait it out.

I forgot to mention I'm doing this, too.
I'll get the baby vicks and see if it helps, thank you.
He had RSV when he was 4 months and I swear the nosefrida was the most helpful thing since we were home from the hospital.

I called wanting to bring him in to check his ears and the Dr said an ear infection is very unlikely this time of year (he's not in daycare) unless it's on the tail end of a bad cold.
He didn't have the cold when I called, but didn't want to nurse laying on his right side only, and tugged at that ear a few times. UGH, I should trust my instincts. If he doesn't seem any better by tomorrow, I'll bring him in. He's doing a good nap now, so that's reassuring.
After not going down until 10:30 last night (absolutely unheard of for him) he did sleep until about 6:30, so it's not like he isn't sleeping at all.
