H and I are looking to buy the POANG chair from Ikea www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S19903928/#/S29829136 Does anyone have any opinions/reviews on it? It doesn't have to last forever, but we'd rather not buy something that's going to fall apart in a year or two.
My parents had one for almost ten years, as did my sister, and they still looked brand new by the time they got rid of them. They're pretty comfortable, too, which tends to be hit or miss with IKEA furniture, IMO.
This is what I use as my nursery rocker and I love it. It's really comfortable and has various "speeds" if you will. I highly recommend.
ETA: I have the ottoman too. It's a must have for the ultimate in comfort. I've used mine every single night (sometimes multiple times a night) for 3 years and it's still like new.

Wow, it sounds like an IKEA commercial up in here. We're set on the brown leather chair and ottoman. I'm super excited to go and get some swedish meatballs. It's the one and only reason I have for not ordering it online.
I about to leave for IKEA right now to buy something, anything to organize DS's toys that are presently all over the basement floor. Mmmmm.... meatballs.
Mine's about 12 or 13. I've replaced the chairpads once. I have black canvas and the ottoman. If I didn't have a cat when I bought them I would have gone for the leather.

We use the Expedit and Trofast storage systems in the playrooms.

We had 2 and they were really nice. We got rid of them because we didn't have room for them. I'd advise spending more and getting the leather - we had black fabric cushions and they faded pretty significantly.

Love the Expedit! We're getting that later this week to set the TV on but, in the mean time, I picked up a bunch of the stackable recycling bins for all the big stuff. His Trio block and Playmobil collections have ridiculously out grown fitting in a 12X12x12 cube at this point. They'd be able to over throw us and take over the house if they ever came to life.
H had a Poang chair for about 7 years and it still looked great. We just couldn't find a place for it in our apartment after we got married so he gave it to his sister. As far as I know she still has it!
