For anyone who is interested.
First of all, she's doing amazing. She's staying positive and upbeat, which is all any of us can ask for. She's still doing radiation 5 days a week, and will start the 2nd round of chemo on July 2nd. Everything seems to be going well, although we won't know for sure if treatments are working for another couple of months. She's starting to lose her hair, which is heart breaking. Not the fact that she won't have hair, but..just knowing why, I guess. Other than that, there isn't much to report. She's handling everything with more strength than I think I ever could, she truly is my hero. Anyways, that's about all there is to report. Everything is going smoothly.
I'm glad to hear it going well. And strange as it sounds, her hair falling out is a really good sign that the chemo is targeting those fast growing cells.
I was thinking about you guys the other day. I'm glad it's going as well as can be expected.
Thank you! I've been mostly lurking lately, but I read your update and I'm so happy you all finally received some good news, too! Its amazing how much relief even a small turn in a positive direction can bring. I hope things continue to look up for you
When my grandmother lost her hair she actually somewhat enjoyed it as odd as it sounds. Her careers (first an elementary school teacher and then a real estate agent after retirement) always kept her looking professional. She went out and bought a few crazy wigs and let my cousin draw a fake tattoo on her head (he's a tattoo artist), she kept saying that she was a badass
I'm glad to hear that you are both doing well, please let us know if there is anything that we can do for you!

Get well soon mom!
That's what we keep telling her, and I think it helps. Its all for a good reason, to kick this thing's ass. Plus, hair or no hair, she's still beautiful.

Lol! Well she IS a bad ass! It takes a strong person to go through it, and still keep her grace and sense of humor. Thanks, I really appreciate it
