What a day (graphic pip warning)

We are at the hospital.  Evan had a severe reaction to peanut butter this morning.  He put the piece of bread with the pb in hos mouth, spit it out and within seconds hives started appearing on his face.  I quickly gave him a dose of Benadryl.  We were still panicking so we jumped in the car to get to the hospital.  He seemed lethargic so DH called 911.  They told us to pull over.  This is what he looked like:



The ambulance came.  They gave him a shot of epinephrine because he looked like this within minutes of the pic above.



They brought us to the hospital.  They gave him more Benadryl and prednisone.  



We've now been here for almost six hours.  Evan is doing well.  His spirit's up.  The swelling is going down slowly but at least it's going down.  Phew!  They're still keeping here for observation.
