I bought a pattern for a romper months ago, but the smallest size in the pattern is 18 months. After measuring Zoe, I think she might fit into that size, even if it's a bit big. My midwifery is having their annual pot luck picnic next Sunday and I'm thinking about trying to make the romper in time for that. I'm really a novice at sewing, so I'm slightly worried that I'll just stress myself out making this thing, but it's so cuuuute.
It would be in different fabrics, but I'm thinking it might be a little advanced for me.
super cute! Do you have enough time to work on it this week? the deadline would be stressing me out. But if you have time set aside- try it out!
if you get really stuck, modern domestic (on alberta) is a great shop and they are very helpful. They have Friday Night "Sewcials" and they can help you if you need to finish it at the last minute.
That is the sweetest thing I have seen. I would try, if you think you can do it in time, but I don't want you to stress yourself out over it either. I'm sure there will be plenty of other occasions to wear it this summer.
I cut out all the pieces and it looks like it'll be pretty huge on my tiny little girl, haha. If I make it right and it doesn't fit, maybe I'll just send it to a probie.

Okay, I have mostly finished it already. I don't have one thing I need to finish the back of it and the leg holes and instead of sewing the crotch shut, I'd rather get snaps, since, ya know, diapers.
I didn't have dark thread, so I used pink throughout and the dark ruffles look pretty meh, because I'm not great at sewing in a straight line, but whatever.
Also, I'm pretty sure it's way too big for my munchkin.

Wow! That looks like it was really hard to do. Those ruffles are so cute. If you are not a good sewer i would like to see what a bad one looks like. That came out great!
