2. I googled after watching Full House this am.  I had no idea Tommy Page was a real person/singer.  nicbreeful he lives in your neck of the woods.  Please ask him if he likes chicks.

I got my cat back! We noticed him hiding under cars at the mechanics shop behind our building, and we were able to lure him out with food. He was filthy and hungry but in good condition. So happy to have him back.

The grocery store was having a power sale on boxes of Drumsticks ice creams. A box of 4 for under a dollar when the normal price is $6. I may have bought an embarrassing amount of them.

I have a Skype interview tomorrow that I am beyond excited for. I'm hoping this comes together because the opportunity is amazing. 

I also noticed 3 stratch marks that really hurt on my upper torso and have no idea how they got there. It looks like Wolverine was all up on me.

DH thought, and had told me, that his sister was going to be here Sat-Tues. At dinner last night we found out that her flight isn't until Thursday. Normally this wouldn't be a huge deal, but this is only my second week back at work and we're still trying to settle into the new routines, and I just don't want extra people hanging around in the house, especially in the evening. And I don't know what she thought she was going to be doing since DH and I both, you know, work during the week.

I think I've decided that I do in fact just want a haircut and pedicure for my birthday next week. And the time to go do it.

All of our dogs are sleeping and I'm annoyed because the latest episode of Mad Men hasn't downloaded to Amazon video yet (we don't have cable).

Eta: sleeping dogs = the perfect time to watch an hour show without interruption.

I will admit that the morning after a friend's wedding, H and I woke up and our coffee table had inexplicably broken in two. To this day, neither of us have any idea how it happened. There was tequila involved, that's all I know

I'm sitting here sobbing (hormones) because my baby's first day of summer camp is today. He graduated from Pre-K last week. I can't believe how fast he's growing up.

I have another work trip this week. I normally love traveling, but for whatever reason I am not looking forward to this trip.

I can't watch the video that luckyval posted, but the title alone is a pretty accurate description of me on Saturday night.  We were at one of H's coworker's weddings and there was an open bar and it was not good for me.  I'm still feeling a bit embarrassed.

SIL is finally moving forward with wedding plans, yay!  Looks like we'll be going to Costa Rica in November.  No official date yet, but knowing the month is a step in the right direction

I have a feeling this is going to be the slowest week ever because I am so excited for this weekend and next week at the cabin!  The kids are heading up with my parents on Thursday, H and I are camping and seeing Brandi Carlile and The Avett Brothers on Saturday and then we'll head up north on Sunday for the week.

DH got all grouchy with me when I told him I had to switch soaps. Then I showed him my rashy underarms and he was like "whoa, okay--but we do have a lot of soap to go through/get rid of" (we stock up at sam's).

I terrified the elder ones on Saturday evening. They were playing with an inflatible ball in their room, hit it up a little high and broke the glass of the overhead light in the room. Large shards were everywhere, DS had a small but deep cut near his eye and the biggest shard was stuck in the build-a-bear box DD has been using as a house for her toys. I got DS all bandaged up, freaked out them both by telling them how lucky they were that the big shards didn't stick into any part of their bodies/missed DS #1's eye. I got it all cleaned up and called DH (who was still at work) to get him to bring me beer and he wouldn't.

Flameful?

I'm the matron of honor for my bff's wedding, and am just not into it. At all. I'm thrilled that she is getting married, but she's planning a kind of rush wedding because she wants to ttc, like, yesterday, so the wedding is in 4 months. She decided she wanted her bachelorette party at her parents' cottage on this tiny island in lake Erie, and I can't really think of anything I'd rather do less than try to coordinate that. She is my bestie, and I'll go with a smile on my face, but we are very different in a lot of ways, and our party attitudes are one of them. I've never been a big partier, and "drink your face off with 15 of your closest friends all weekend" thing holds zero appeal to me, and actually kind of gives me anxiety. But she loves to do that and has always been crazy outgoing. So that's what we're doing.

So between that, and trying to plan a shower that she won't give me a guest list for (it just "isn't on her priority list" but the thing is in 7 weeks, so I need to get this shit moving), I'm kind of glad that this is probably the last wedding I'll be in.

And yes, I realize that exactly nothing about her wedding is about what I want/my wishes and preferences, and I won't say a word to her about it. But I'm still dreading the b-party like crazy.

DS had FOUR teeth come in at the same time. All four front top teeth. He was ok alk weekend, we were out of town for a funeral and he had lots of attention and distractions but yesterday when it was just the two of us he unleashed. He was miserable yesterday and by dinner time I was sweaty, my hair looked like I put my finger in a socket and we were both sitting on my bed crying. I gave him some Tylenol and he STTN. Whew.

We spent all weekend with my family. I don't think I can see them for 6 weeks now, too much together time. I drove my parents since my dad is kind of sick still. Dad and I don't get along and on the way home I contemplated opening the passenger door and shoving him out of the car on the beltway. I didn't, but I thought about it. He wouldn't shut up.

Lastly, SDs got in last night and SD1 is a tall lanky teenager. SD2 is the same as always. We leave Friday for Memphis to spend a week with DHs family and I'm looking forward to it. They are much more reasonable than mine.

I wasn't very happy with DH yesterday after I read that 'what are all the nice things your SO does for you' post bc he does none of them. I asked why he never made me coffee, especially if hes already making some for himself. His response,'I don't know how'. We have a keurig. You put the pod in the top then press brew. 8-l

I guess that was more of a confession. My random is I'm in such a grouchy mood this morning. DS is getting on my nerves and its not even 8am yet. I can't wait for nap time.

My niece cracks me up. She turns 3 today.
They were at our house the other day and she announced that she had diarrhea again. My mom goes to change her and says, oh you only have one little poo.
My niece smiles and says "I know. I tricked you when I said I had diarrhea". Then she laughs her head off at herself for several minutes.
I thought it was pretty clever.
