Hi friends, DH is ready to begin the job search in earnest. His background is in consulting and nonprofit leadership, but we are kind of open to possibilities right now. Has anyone had a good experience with a Boston executive search firm? Any specific people/ agencies you would recommend? Thanks in advance!
I know a great headhunter but she is very specialized. I just looked at her current listings and the lowest salary range for a job she is recruiting for is $900,000. The highest salary is $5,000,000. Can you imagine???
These are her current listings. I missed some before that have a salary of $600,000. I pity the poor persons stuck with that salary. LOL!

I literally can not imagine what a paycheck at the salary would be like. OMG.
I think he will have better luck doing a job search on his own in a consulting or NPO field. Recruiters or headhunters are hired by companies when they need someone to fill a position. Companies pay around 30% for people to be placed in their organization. It might be a possibility, but I'd imagine that generally, NPO organizations aren't going to shell out the cash to work with a recruiter when they can save that money and get a direct hire. I may be wrong, as my only recruiting experience has only been in the legal industry. Has he checked job sites like indeed, simplyhired, juju, linkedin, ladders, beyond, bright, or ziprecruiter? I'd start there.

Any chance she works for a company that starts with the letter G? This is very interesting to me bc one of these is very likely dh's boss and he is currently interviewing candidates. Boston is a small town in the financial community and HH's always use the hiring firms exact titles so it can be easy to tell.

Search firms are used extensively in non profits for fundraising and leadership jobs.
