She and her fiance have been living together for a while and have been talking marriage and babies for a bit. I guess she found out a week or two ago that she was KTFU, and he proposed last week.
Now she's trying to figure out when to do the wedding. They're thinking either this August or next.
So, would you rather plan a wedding in 2 months or with a newborn?
FWIW, she's always wanted to do a backyard BBQ style at my ILs house. They have a gorgeous backyard just full of flowers, AND they're on the garden tour this year, so the backyard looks extra awesome.

Whoa! That's a lot of exciting stuff at the same time. If she wants a small wedding, I say this August. Honestly, planning is easier before you have a newborn baby.
She's all "well, if we do it next August I can do all the planning I want, and make things, and save money to pay for it!" Cue me laughing.
The poor girl is stressed because she thinks people are going to judge her for being KU and THEN getting engaged. She's nearly 29. I said if they're going to judge you they're not worth your time.
Awww, yay! How exciting! I agree with doing it in two months, since she wants something low-key anyway. She'll have enough on her mind & hands once she has the baby! I honestly can't even imagine that.
Congratulations! I'd say this summer because I'm too vain to risk trying to look good in a dress right after giving birth.
This is a good point. Part of her reason for wanting to wait is because she doesn't want to look KU in her wedding pictures. I'm pretty sure I looked more pg when I was 6 months pp than 3.5 months pg.

I've always thought pregnant brides looked really cute, especially if they accentuate the bump rather than just buying a bigger dress size.

I agree! And anyone who would judge her can stfu. Congrats to her!
Congrats! The thought of planning a wedding in 2 months makes me anxious but I am an over planner. If she got married next August, most of the stuff would already been planned although that would be soooo overwhelming with planning a baby shower, bridal shower, wedding, nursery, planning for the delivery itself. On second thought, convince her to get married this summer!
