So far summer has been fairly pleasant. Last week the weather was amazing. Now, BAM, we're in the 90s for the next few days. Ugh, I hate the heat. And now the city is gonna smell like pee and garbage. Yuck.
The playground near me has a little sprinkler, but there's a big splash pad about .5 miles away. The question is whether I want to walk in the heat to get to that sprinkler
It cracks me up that it's just now officially summer. It's been hotter than balls for a while here. This week, it's actually not supposed to get up in the 90s. It's like a refreshing break amidst the bullshit that is summer in Atlanta.

Its so gross out. I walked DD and DH out this morning at 6:30am and it was humid and stagnant out. I can only imagine what it will feel like later on at like 2pm. Gross.

Lol that is what I thought! It was *only* 90 degrees yesterday and we were like, yes!!! We got to eat lunch outside! Then again, I do live in California dry heat (valley) and that makes all the difference, even if 100+ degree weather is a regular occurrence.
No pee smell (I can't even imagine) so that gives all you in that area major props in my book.

The humidity is the worst. It makes me feel so dirty all the time
It was 90 all weekend here too, sofuckinghot. We northerners are not used to this kind of heat!! We don't have a/c either, we would only use it for like 2 months of the year anyway. We did make it to a local public pool but there were about 1,000 other people there too. Here's my baby enjoying our awesome window fan though.
85 and breezy in Barbados (hot) It's our last day though and supposed to be over 100 degrees for the next forever back home. So not looking forward to entertaining 2 kids while possibly pregnant in that.
I'll glady take a dry 100 over a humid 85-90. I have family in AZ and their 100 doesnt feel like our 100. Its SOOO much different.
Agree. When it was 95-100 in Kansas the heat index would be like 115. We just moved to Colorado and it has been in the 90's and you barely feel hot because there is no humidity.
