We went to Ohio this weekend to visit some friends. They wanted to go to the Dayton Air Show so we went. We were about 200 yards away when a small plane carrying a wingwalker crashed into the ground and exploded into flames. It was heartbreaking and so devastating to see. I am having a hard time shaking it. I knew instantly that there was no way the pilot or the wingwalker could have survived. I just sat there sobbing after it happened. DD was with us and I am just thankful that it didn't crash into the bystanders.

That is awful! I feel like I hear about these kinds of stories at air shows all the time. Do these things happen a lot?
It seems that way. My H told us afterwards that he had a bad feeling about going. I was a little iffy as well and thought about crashes before it happened. It was my first and last one, I will tell you that.
And then my H wanted to watch that guy walk across the Grand Canyon last night on tv. I couldn't watch it. I don't want to see anyone else die doing something like that. I just don't understand it.
