He watched them with me last year from the porch of his great-grandfather's beach house and will do the same this year. He's seen them a few other times and is fascinated by them. I'm not concerned about the noise scaring him because we live alongside subway construction that included dynamite blasts multiple times daily for his first ten months that shook our apartment, and he never noticed.
We're going to be in New Haven for the 4th and I'm kind of bummed A wont get to see the awesome NYC display. I hope we can take her to some around New Haven.

I'm sort of surprised so many people do their own fireworks.
Maybe I am Un-American but I couldn't care less about fireworks. Every time I go, it seems like a good idea and then I'm getting eaten alive by bugs and wondering how I am going to battle the traffic. I have no desire to do that with a toddler.
