We aren't. But it is more the keeping her up 2 hours past her bedtime that I'm worried about. She goes to bed 7:30-8 and the fireworks don't start until 9:30.
Definitely not! They wouldn't be until past her bedtime and I can't see her enjoying the loud booms. I remember being as old as elementary school and not liking the loud booms!
I voted yes, but I don't know if we will be going to see fireworks this year or not. I don't make a big deal of them. Honestly 4th of July is not my favorite. If we do wind up going to see fireworks I have no problem taking B but if she is super cranky/tired or freaks out or anything we will skip it or leave early.
We aren't going to the big local fireworks, because of the time, though I think she would like the music part. There are tons of people that set them off in the neighborhood, so we'll probably just sit outside and watch some less-boomy fireworks.

We took E to the fireworks at Thunder Over Louisville in April and he loved them. I don't know that we'll actually go anywhere to see fireworks, but several of our neighbors have nice fireworks so we can watch those from our yard.
I'm not going to keep him up for the good night ones (he goes to bed at 7:30), but we'll do some during the day. My Fourth is not complete without tanks and climbing pandas.
We'll keep him up next year for sure.
eta: We attend a big party every year that starts early afternoon, so he will get his fun complete with homemade ice cream. If we weren't doing anything that day, I would probably keep him up. M likes to party.

No, probably not. She is a 7pm bedtime girl. Even if we had them at our house, she still would probably be in bed. I can tell my 4th of July plans are going to be kinda tame for a few years.
Yes, I will bring her if her sleeping schedule that day will allow. She saw them last year. I have a pair of noise canceling headphones for her that I bought for last year and will use again this year.

D and I skipped it last year and I was bummed not to be there with H. We will give it a try this year unless DH wants to switch and be the one who stays home. I would prefer not to take her if H wasn't a factor.

Too late for him. I don't feel like keeping him up a couple of hours after his bedtime. I might try to pawn him off on DH and go out with my friends. I stayed home last year.

We will probably buy the generic wal-mart sucktastic fireworks for her and light some off so she can see some pretty bright colors and sparkles but nothing too loud to scare her with.
We are on vaca in RI right afterwards and they light fireworks off all over the place down there that entire weekend. I remember being ragey last year becuase she was only 3 months old and the neighbors were lighting them off and I was convinced they were all conspiring against us becuase they knew we had a teeny baby that was trying to sleep. LOL
we took him last year and plan to this year but it is past his bedtime. I think we will still go (DH has to go to this concert at the park where the fireworks are) and let him fall asleep in the car.
I don't think he will be scared but who knows. Yesterday we went to a MLS game and I thought he would be scared of the cheering but he just looked around and when he saw everyone else was excited he was fine.
We took Macy to a baseball game a couple weeks ago that had a fireworks display and she loved them! I don't plan on going out of my way to take her to some for the 4th but I wouldn't be opposed to it.
Henry is 6 and we still haven't had him see them...they start at 10:30 here. I can barely stay up for them myself. Last year we attempted to wake him up when they started and he was completely comatose - wouldn't wake up.
plus, we just watch from our house (downtown Boston on the 4th is brutally insane), so it isn't as exciting. Once they are older I'm all for getting to the esplanade at 7 AM and camping out for day in preparation, but when they are this young we skip it.

Umm, is it bad I brought her with last year? We go to our town's fireworks and then there is a farm and then a church behind my parents. The church sets off a show to rival a small town's fireworks every year on the sunday closest to the 4th. We sit in their back yard and watch the show. So, we see two sets of fireworks.
We'll be down the shore so we'll watch the fireworks on or near the beach. I don't know how she'll react though, I have a feeling she'll get a little scared.
