The fireworks poll had me thinking- at the animal hospital, we get a lot of people in getting tranquilizers for their dogs and the fireworks. A couple things I was thinking about- there is a new(er) "drug" called composure that is made with milk products that works really well to keep them calm, all natural, but we've seen some great results with all the thunderstorms we've been having. (you can also get it online, but that's a different story!) and please make sure your dogs have ID tags just in case they get out. Just want everyone to have a good holiday!!!!
eta: I really hope this isn't snarky sounding. I know everyone here is excellent with their pups, I was just thinking about all the dogs that we deal with
Our dog shakes for hours when she hears fireworks. She usually won't even move and sometimes pees in the house if she hears them. I think I'm going to ask for the composure, thanks!

My dog is currently sitting in his firework/thunder spot because we are having a summer storm right ow. He just hides under the end table. He is usually ok, but he hates when a big boon catches him by surprise.
