Anyone ever had to go as a witness to a probation hearing?

I can't remember if I shared here or not about what happened at Dave's work last year. He manages a mom and pop computer store. Last year a guy brought in his computer for service and Dave noticed something off the desktop right away. After the guy left, Dave clicked hoping he was wrong...but he wasn't. It was child porn. He immediately took the computer to the police station and turned it in. 

Today they called him as a witness to this guy's probation hearing on Thursday. Obviously, Dave is stressing out big time. First of all, will he have to see the guy he put in jail? I think that's his biggest fear.

Anything at all you can tell us about what to expect will be helpful.

She gave him a quick briefing today, but he doesn't remember much. I was just hoping someone could give me a general idea of the process.
