calling all bakers--Fourth of July cake

I think I'll stick with my flag made from strawberries and blueberries on top of the cake.

The instructions actually don't look too bad. If you have more than two cake pans it should go pretty fast.

I made this once. It actually isn't that hard. I was surprised how little extra work it was. It looks harder than it is!

Thanks for the vote of confidence!  It's kind of expected that I make an over the top dessert, and I hate to let the guests down.

Could you link to the instructions?  I'm guessing it's just a ring cut out of a round cake pan for the blue section, etc.  I think it actually looks pretty easy, but I'm curious what the instructions say.
