I don't know. It's really hot and humid today. I think I missed my window already. Plus I have this really weird pain in my leg that started yesterday. It feels like something is pulling on my muscle.
I ran this morning! It was 70 degrees, 94% humidity, and my pace was over 2:00 per mile slower than my fastest pace.
I seriously wonder why I'm even trying in the summer. It is just painful and not fun.
I had an early morning run similar to yours smock, but even though I'm slower, I seem to enjoy it a lot more in the morning. I like getting it out of the way to free up the evenings. Although I'm falling asleep at 9 o'clock, so there's that.
So, really gross confession: I've been using a c25k app on my phone with pandora for music. My phone came with a clip thing to hang on your pants, but they gave me the wrong size. So. I've been sticking my phone in my pants when I run. Imagine how much fucking grossness and sweat is on my phone by the time I'm done. So late last week I finally got a belkin armband. No more gross sweat phone!

I walked a little bit more than 3 miles this morning. It was a nice cool 65 degrees and cloudy as I left. But about half way through I got caught in a torrential downpour. I looked like a drowned rat by the time I got home! But since I was already soaked, I took the opportunity to act like a 3 year old and jumped in every.single.mud puddle on the way home. It was kind of fun!
They're expecting the temperature to get up into the 90's in a few days... It was only 70 yesterday. I think I'm going to die!

Maybe I just need to run even slower? I overheat by the end of the first mile, and then it's just sticky and hot and unpleasant. I do like getting it out of the way first thing in the morning!

Maybe. I'm normally a 9 and a half to 10 minute mile in the cool and I've noticed I'm running at about an eleven to twelve minute mile in the humidity with walk breaks. Ugh.

That makes me feel better. I'm normally between a 10:00-10:30 mm, and lately I'm between 11:30-12:00. I thought maybe I just got bad at running or something! (it's my first summer running, lol)
