We have an old laminate counter top and a double sink with a disposal. I would like to get a deeper sink, new faucet, and reuse the disposal.
Is this something that is usually an easy DIY? Our kitchen was remodeled in the 80s and I'm looking for something that will make me happy for only a few years until we do a large remodel.
I wouldn't call it easy, but it's doable if the sink is the exact same size and the faucet is the same configuration (number of holes and how they're arranged) as the current one. Our granite people put our sink in when they installed the counters, but H installed the faucet and garbage disposal himself. It took a couple of hours (ftr - he's in finance and has no special handyman skills, so probably doable for the average person).

We had an issue. I didn't quite understand it, but due to the new sink being deeper than the old one, there wasn't enough room for the proper angle for the new drain pipe and p trap. We ended up having to cut into the wall so the plumbing would line up.
