LOL My coworker just asked me what SCREW means

I was like "In what context?" lollollol

She is reading an academic paper and is not fluent in english, so she is coming in every 5 minutes.  It turns out it was "could be seen as another turn of the screw in terms of regulation".  And not, you know, "screw you" or "I got screwed".  Which would have been surprising I guess.  ;-)
