I have a call in to the nurse, just wondering if this is something I should be worried about. DD1 was sick starting Monday morning (a week ago). She complained about a headache and she had a fever. It all went down/away when I gave her tylenol/ibuprofen. She seems to be getting better. She had a cold and sore throat and cough.
My MIL is watching them, and just called DH to ask how much tylenol to give her because she is complaining about a headache again. Now, I am getting a little worried. I don't know if she is getting sick again, or if she is getting headaches. I am not sure what to really watch for, or if I should maybe bring her to go get her eyes checked. This is the first time she has really started to complain about headaches though
My five year old gets a headache maybe once a month. Usually it's related to the heat, but not always. If she's not getting sick from them or acting like it really bothers her, I wouldn't worry too much. Maybe pay a bit more attention to her vision for a while, then if you are still concerned, take her to the doctor.

Thanks everyone! I am still waiting for the nurse to call back.
It is hot here today and she was out playing in the park with my MIL. So the dehydration/heat thing is a good suggestion. I will make sure she drinks a lot (which normally isn't a problem for her!) tonight.
Not a MOOK, but I agree with the suggestion to get her eyes checked. I had frequent bad headaches when I was 5-6, and it turned out that I was really near sighted. I don't recall getting another headache until high school after I got glasses.

My first thought was dehydration, especially if it is hot out. Getting her eyes checked is a good thing, as well. DS will be 4 in a couple of weeks, and he goes yearly to get eye exams from an optometrist. The place we go is super great with kids, and DD was even there for an exam at 9 months. Both kids even let them dilate their eyes without much of a problem...the only problem was getting them to keep sunglasses on when we were outside on our way back home.
