I currently use Revlon colorstay & have liked it ok. But when I look at myself during the day it seems like it really settles into every pore/line I have & the coverage isn't as good as at application. So I think I want to try something else.
My skin is on the oily side & I need something with good coverage for old acne marks (anyone know of something that works for those?)
I use a primer & Amazing Cosmetics concealer on blemishes & to help cover the acne marks.
Could it be a need a better primer to prep my skin to prevent the settling in pores? I'm just not sure which direction to go here!
The price tag might come as a shock if you're used to buying colorstay, but I love love love Dior diorskin foundation. It's about $50 for a bottle, but the coverage is awesome and lasts forever. I use foundation mostly to even out redness in my skin, and thus stuff works wonders, but still feels really light, like tinted moisturizers.

I use MUFE Mat Velvet and I love it, I also have oily/combination skin and this really helps from looking shiny. I would give this a try!
Before this I wore MUFE HD, which I loved too but started to notice that I woulod get shiny halfway through the day, I don't think this foundation is really meant for oily skin.
I've been using the Monistat chafing gel as primer. But I've also tried Smashbox, Sephora brand, Spackle & haven't been impressed with them-mostly for oil control.
I use Too Faced primed and poreless and I love it. The also have a version for oily skin, but I haven't tried it yet, as the primed and poreless still works well for my oily skin.

Colorstay reformulated years ago and that's when I stopped using it. The OLD formula was much better- it had real staying power. The new formula is thinner and greasier. After the reformulation I was only able to use Colorstay by adding concealer cream to it and mixing to get a better consistency. Dermablend is my favorite.

I'm really liking the new Tarte clean slate primer (poreless version, in the purple tube). I use MUFE Mat Velvet foundation, but I just recently tried Clinique Stay Matte foundation and really like it as well.
