So colon is good, stomach had a polyp (removed) they test it anyways but it is common in people who have long term Prilosec /Nexium usage (I've used Prilosec for over 5 years for bad GERD). The main problem and pain I've been feeling has been from a hiatal hernia (sliding) apparently they didn't pick it up in my upper GI test but with my lung being perminently collapsed my stomach and esophagus among other organs have moved more to the left of my body causing a sharper turn into my stomach and probably making GERD and this hernia more pissed off. Honestly I am relieved! Just wanted to thank all of you for your good thoughts and prayers!! (heart)
If you ever need a colonoscopy, just do it, it's not that bad to deal with. If you have had stomach virus it's less worse than that...
Sorry for misspelling and the such I'm still drugged haha
OMG I am getting a colonoscopy and endoscopy tomorrow! Glad to hear it's not that bad. I am doing the liquid diet today which sucks so far.
mumegs what for if you don't mind me asking ( you can PM me too)?? Hope it all goes well for you!! If you've had the bad shits before it's like that but with less pain especially coming out because your poo is more watered down and less acidic ( I had noro-virus twice and it was nowhere near that). Towards the end I had some nausea which was like morning sickness it was worse than the shit fest. The endoscopy was nothing and neither was the colonoscopy after all the prep and they put me under twilight (I remember seeing some parts of them doing my colon on the screen and talking).I even gave myself an enema It's a quick procedure and I pretty much walked out after an hour. Good luck!!

I had one and I remember watching the screen too while they were in there. But you are so out of it, cant feel anything, and you really have no idea what is going on. Good luck!

Well I have been having this sharp pain in my lower abdomen...it started when I was pregnant and they found a cyst there so I assumed that's what it was. But I got another ultrasound a couple months ago to check and they couldn't find the cyst so they sent me to a GI dr to check it out. He said his guess is its a problem with my intestine or something, I also have IBS so I'm not too worried about the prep. I'm sure I've had worse. I also have acid reflux, I have also been on Prilosec for years. So he wants to do the scope to see if I have any damage to my esophagus. You had them both done in an hour?? I was afraid it was going to take a long time, my sister is taking me bc DH has to work.

I think it was about an hour, honestly I waited for the fucking doctor for almost an hour after I got my IV. I know the endoscopy was only like 10 min long. I guess they will throw me into the IBS category now too, with the hernia and GERD also. I came to quickly and was released within 45 min. The shits from the colonoscopy are no big deal to the IBS stuff... Good Luck again!! Let me know!!

Glad things weren't too bad! I have GERD and have had a hiatal hernia before and it sucks, but could certainly be worse. Glad the prep and procedure weren't too bad, either.
