I have this wall:
I have a framed map of the capital from 1959 that I haven't found a place for yet, but I'm not entirely sure I will reuse it. I've been looking at art.com and overstock for ideas, but I don't know what to put there. I don't really want to do a gallery wall, but I would do a grouping of frames (like bigger ones). I just can't decide what I would put there though. I want it to be easy to come down though because for birthdays, I push the table up against the wall.

There isn't enough space for a shelf. I don't have a picture of it, but there's about 2 feet or so between the chairs and the wall when they are pushed in. Just enough space for someone to sit! (Eventually, I'll have the light fixture moved so I can move the table out more.)

Ah, birds! I'll have to go check them out FormerlyRR. I get overwhelmed when I'm looking through pages and pages of art. In a store? Not a problem. Something about the internet sometimes is overwhelming.
I love the styled shelves posted above. But for me, I think it feels more living room or family room appropriate. I like just a hint of formality in a dining room and would go for two or three large framed prints or other wall art.
i love botanicals in a dining room, personally. if you could find something with the leaves of different herbs, that would be cool, imo. maybe you could even DIY this, mod podge some onto a piece of cardboard, spary with acrylic to preserve further and frame it.

Here's what I'd do. Download some high res vintage printables. Get them printed in poster-size at Kinko's or OfficeMax. Frame them with some cheap Ikea frames. Done.

I've looked for mirrors everywhere, but I can't find anything at a decent price that I like. I already have one above the fireplace, so I'm pretty sure it might cause my H to stroke out if I put another mirror up somewhere. (But 10 amps uninstalled in vehicles is totally reasonable.)
I'm starting to think I have a mirror problem so feel free to ignore me anyway. I can't find art to save my life but every store I go in I want to buy all the mirrors.
Do you have a glass supplier near you? They often can cut a mirror to fit a frame you already have, or can frame one for you in whatever style you'd like.
I know we have a few glass repair companies here, but I don't know about a supplier. I'm going to attempt to look around at some stores here in town to see if I can find some large scale stuff to hang there on the wall. Considering how long my last house was in varying stages of unfinished, I feel like this one has gone from "undone" to "almost there" pretty quickly!
