I spoke with someone about it once and they said that hormonal changes (like pregnancy) could cause the hair to start growing again, so I'm waiting until after I'm done having kids. I'm surprised you said it hurts though, I imagined pain free!

Oh no. there was definitely pain. It felt like rubber bands snapping against your skin over and over again!

I had my stretch marks lasered but they used the same machine they use for laser hair removal and that is exactly how it felt! I thought it'd be way worse because the dermatologist told me how awful it was but I tolerated it fine. I'd love laser hair removal on my legs!
There was a groupon here last week w/ pricing per size of the area. I checked, and brazilian is considered an "extra large area." Thanks a lot, assholes!
LOL!!!
I would love to have it done on my legs and underarms but my hair (though plentiful!) is too light. I've had a follow-up session on my bikini so 7 sessions in total.
irishsara I would think 6 sessions on lower leg would be enough.. how much is ballpark for your area? The place I went to offered 50% off any follow up sessions past the 6 I paid for in advance. So that was helpful.
My BFF who lives in the US had her lower leg done 8 years ago and she goes once a year for a follow up. Sounds totally worth it though, not having to shave!!

I want to do this so much. I don't where to start as there are a million places around here that do it and I don't know anyone that has done it. There are always deals on Groupon but when I look them up on Yelp they seem shady. Each place seems to offer a different kind of the BEST laser but I don't know which type is actually the preferred method.

How did the stretch mark lasering go? Do they disappear or just get lighter?

It was worth it for my self esteem but I wouldn't recommend it if you expect a full fix. The stretched skin is still there but it helped the color a TON! She also did it on my csection scar and it lightened it a lot. It also helped to tighten the skin since I had/have very lose flappy stomach skin now. That said, it really only helps if you do it when your stretch marks are pretty fresh and purple. It they are old stretch marks that have lost their color, it's not worth it. I'm glad I did it and I was marked up something crazy by stretch marks and I feel pretty good about them now. I knew it wouldn't be the cure but I'll get a tummy tuck when I'm done getting pregnant, lol. There is a clinic in my area who does water lipo, where you're supposedly only out of work for a day, I might try that first to see if it helps my two fat pouches first though... If it does, I'll call it a day and no tummy tuck!

I could probably stand to go have a follow up on my bikini area. I need to get on that. And look into getting my lower legs done.
Kevin got it for me for my birthday. He just looked up google reviews of places and picked the best one. I don't think I would do a groupon. I feel like reputable places wouldn't need to do a groupon. Most good places have deals that come out anyway.
