Friday night we're going to a minor-league baseball game - R got uber-VIP tickets (free parking, admission into the VIP lounge, etc) through work. Saturday am, I'm up and out of the house by around 4:30am because I'm volunteering at a semi-local XTERRA triathlon - probably until 3pm-ish. R is staying home to let the dingus out and doing stuff around the house. Sunday I have absolutely no idea what we're doing. Napping all day, I hope.

We are watching the girl I used to sit Saturday. Her Uncle died. So sad. So I want to do something fun and wear her out so her parents can have an easy night. Sunday I think we want to mosquito curtain the front porch. It is unbelievably awful out there now. I got a ton of those ikea Lill curtains. Hope it works!
I feel like my list is ever-growing and not much is getting checked off, but tomorrow night I'm having dinner with a friend and her family. Saturday I'm working a full day of OT and then going to a friend's bonfire. Sunday will likely be filled with errands, but I have a cabinet I need to paint so my goal is to get that done, or at least started, especially since the weather is really going to heat up this weekend so it will hopefully dry quickly.
cleaning up after contractor work, moving some bushes/flowers that are in the way for pouring footers, separating items that can be recycled (aluminum, copper, etc) and taking a boatload of stuff to the ReStore.
When i get home today, we should be without a roof! PROGRESS!
We'll probably hit up one or two farmers markets tomorrow. Indiana sweet corn is officially in season! Saturday will be spent working on house stuff we've been blowing off. On Sunday we're going to visit my parents. I'm not terribly excited, but we need to go.
We are hoping to get the kitchen floor done, and the new light up. At least that's what I am hoping. Of course that all depends if I can make a definite decision about the pattern that I want for the tile.
Work is slow in the summer, so I'm really hoping I can spend some time and become a more active poster.
This weekend, DH is working on finishing up our deck, this is number one priority because we are having a big 4th of July party next week.
Also, I'd love to get my garden weeded I haven't had time to sit down and really do a good job at this and the weeds are getting out of control. And the driveway needs to be taken care of too.
If there's time there are pictures that need to be hung, but DH has to do it because he is super particular about pictures being straight, and will just redo anything I try.
You guys today is the day I've been waiting for for over 4 months! We're starting to install trim today!! *fingers crossed that we measured everything perfectly and it all works out* In preparation I was up until 2am the last too nights painting, moving boxes, and cleaning. I was gone for 4 days on a last minute trip to Colorado which really ate into my time. Tonight we'll be finishing texturing and painting the closets, doing the same around the master bath backsplash, moving a million more boxes, and painting more of the pattern in the master closet.
Oh and it's also our anniversary this weekend. We're going out to a nice restaurant we've never been to and I'm surprising DH with an open air bi-plane ride (the ride isn't for another 3 weeks though because we're busy).
We have spackled some holes in the BR and we still have to touch up paint. We've been dragging on this for weeeeeeeks. It will get done this weekend. Any maybe hang the other curtain again.
Oooh, that's SO COOL, FoxInFiji ... where does one even find a gift like that?
Well DH saw an advertisement for it last year at this time and wanted to take a trip as our anniversary present but we had other plans already booked. He was bummed we weren't going so this year I went ahead and scheduled both of us on the longer scenic river flight. He's going to be very surprised!
This is the plane we'll be on:
They do tours around the Midwest but this group doesn't seem to go out to your area. Maybe you can find a similar group out in your area. www.americanbarnstormerstour.com/

I am packing up a bunch of returns from my never-ending online shopping sprees. Then, I'll be thoroughly cleaning the house, so it won't be horrid when we come home from our upcoming holiday trip. Also on my list is painting the downstairs half-bath.
I need to finish spray painting my wicker chairs so they can get the hell out of my garage and I can pull my car in again. I also need to start painting this little skinny hutch that I got to transform into a "bar cart" for the downstairs area, again so I can get it the hell out of my garage. On the agenda for the coming week? Paint the guest bedroom. It is the last room left in the house to paint!

H&G wise, we have to: -replace the double shower rod upstairs because the metal one is rusting -rip out landscaping on the side of the house to prepare for fence installation -look at replacing the shower door in our main floor bathroom -hang up pictures -organize work bench in garage
I am hoping to accomplish all these by next weekend.
Non-H&G wise, we are heading out to my favorite local place for dinner tonight and hitting up an outdoor concert with friends after
We are going to get out the house for a change of scenery. We are planning to go to a nearby city to go to Penzey's for some spices, eat lunch at a nice place and maybe window shop at the posh shops.
We might try to go to one of the museums too, but we have so much to do around here before the work starts on the studio, so we'll see how much sightseeing we actually get done. There is always a chance that we will not be able to stay away from diy and will wind up working on our closet or reorganizing our unpacked boxes. ;p
Saturday I have to go back to the stoneyard and get a couple more flagstones for our path to finish that off. Then I have to help a friend from 2:30-10:30.
Sunday I go to the nurseries to try to find an alleghany viburnum or another big shrub for the space (thanks for the advice treedimensional), I might try to finish digging out a stump in the front and I'll probably head to the paper store to find stuff for Jackson's upcoming birthday party.
Weekly cleaning spree, install new lights on the front porch, scrub down porch, maybe put a small plant shelf on the windowsill above the kitchen sink.
