He had to have a redo circumcision. The skin grew back all the way up, almost blocking the urethra opening, so we decided to have it redone. Our options were to wait and it MIGHT pop back on its own, but not until 4-5 years old, and if it didnt, then he'd have surgery THEN.... or do the surgery now. So chose now, we didnt want him to remember it. Plus, I guess he ended up having way more extra skin there (that should have been removed the 1st time around) so if we didnt do surgery and it eventually popped back down, it would always try to re-adhere. It was an outpatient surgery but he had a block put in near his tailbone to numb his lower half, plus he was knocked out. So it was a pretty intense surgery! He was sore for a few days, but we're now a week past and he's 100% better! Penis still looks pretty brutal, the stitches are starting to look a little funky, but his penis finally looks like it was supposed too and he is not in any pain. Glad we did it now.
And haha, I forgot about cphillz, I am so used to sprinkes now!!
Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry you and Cam had to go through that! Baby surgery is super stressful. It does sound like it was the right choice doing it now as that would be much less traumatic in the long term than if you'd waited several years. I'm glad you got a good outcome!
