Morbid curiosity, I swear, I'm not getting married. I am curious though, what are your thoughts on wearing a colored wedding dress instead of white/ivory/champagne for a second wedding? I did the long and traditional ivory dress first go around and was randomly thinking this morning, that if I were to ever get married again, I'd want it to be way casual and a color other than white. Hey, we've been dating for seven months, my mind can wander LOL
I wore a silver dress when I got married to XH. But I didn't do the whole big fancy schmancy wedding either. I'd say do what you feel comfortable doing!

I wore a fuschia dress when I married STBXH. I didn't look right in white. But then again I am 100 lbs less now and I probably would wear white now...but eh.
I attatched a photo. I don't know if it will work because I don't know how to do photos on here...

100lbs less! That's awesome! Have you ever shared before and after pictures? I had lost 100lbs but am now hovering around 75lbs total lost after some stress eating/weight gaining last fall.

I never shared before and after pics. I could though...let me see. Take my wedding photo as a before.. and I have a full body after too. Don't mind the crap in my kitchen LOL.
I'm not a personal fan of them, but I think other people carry them off well. I like the pink/red color range or metallics.
When I get married again, I plan to go the traditional route, just without anything poufy or with a long train. I have no idea how to handle a veil though. Maybe I'd do a fascinator/birdcage one to avoid raised eyebrows.

I have a friend who is getting married for the second time in September. She's wearing a Midnight Blue pick up ballgown.....she looks fab in it, and honestly.....if anyone had an issue with what color a bride chooses to wear on her wedding day....then they suck and need to stop being such a stick-in-the-mud.
Would I do that.....no.....I'd go the traditional route.....because it suits who I am.

Congrats on the weight loss!
Now I'm going to need a close-up pic of those shoes!

No, 2nd time around do what you want. If I were to get married, I always wanted a hot pink dress.. my dad would die though.. I'd wear a white flowy one, if I got married on the beach.. But white is not my color, nor do I really like white.
I think you should wear what makes you feel fabulous and sexy for your special moments and not worry about what other people do or think. Feel free to express yourself whether that means wearing a white dress again, picking a colored dress, or or even be in a bikini.
If I get married again, I have no idea what I'll wear. I'm not opposed to the idea of a colored dress, though.
Actually, giving it further thought, I'd probably stick with an ivory or champagne color. I'm pretty set on my next wedding (if I have one) being outdoors and relatively informal. Think garden party. Think tea length. Think antique-y and retro looking. Maybe some lace.
Kuus - your dress was beautiful! I was looking to get a navy blue dress, but in the end I decided to go w/ champagne because I wanted it to be a little more traditional without being WHITE.
