It is my last day if the quarter and its been rough and I am SO excited for this day to be done and start fresh with a new quarter. It is also my DH birthday. I got him new roof racks for his kayaks and also some cute clothes from vineyard vines that he opened this morning and loved:) I am hoping to get out at a decent time so we can go to dinner. I made reservations at Tango in Arlington but now he is saying he wants pizza? I guess he picks since its him bday!
Sunday we leave for a week on Martha's Vineyard. So excited for a vacation. We have a few dinner reservations but if anyone has suggestions for things to do please let me know.

I think I'm going to NH to hang out with friends tonight for one of their birthdays. Tomorrow starts my week off vacation but I'm just hanging around the house and the pool since DH couldn't get the whole week off. I'm hoping to get some stuff organized around the house and get some other things done like figure out my wedding albums since we got married almost a year ago. I have at least one showing on a property tomorrow too so I'll probably have a few more this week.
I will be doing homework most of the weekend, but I will be heading to LA on Wednesday!
That reminds me, does anyone have any recommendations for airport parking/shuttle facilities? My flight is obscenely early so I will be driving myself. I will be gone for 10 days, so I don't want to pay an arm and a leg to park my car for the duration of my trip.

It's the last day of school. So it's finally going to feel like summer to me. H and his best friend are having their own fake high school reunion. I can't recall the weekend's schedule but there are several events. I think it begins with dinner at Bronwyn tonight and then there's the ICA, brunch, and something else. Oh and the kids start their swim lessons on Sunday.
And... LUCAS IS STILL ASLEEP! This has never happened before. We went to the fireworks last night and didn't get home until 10. But still. Completely unheard of. These kids have no issue with waking up before 6 every day of their lives.
Tonight I'm finally going to see Before Midnight with my BFF . We're grabbing dinner beforehand, does anyone have any Kendall Sq. recs? Thats pretty much the one area of Cambridge I'm unfamiliar with and I know there are a glut of restaurants.
Ooh, I hope you like it! I like the Blue Room over there. We usually either go there or walk over to the Lord Hobo (excellent craft beer selection, solid pub food). Hungry Mother is right there, as well, and I've heard good things about West Bridge. Have fun!
I've got a massage booked tomorrow, and we're driving up to the Fisher Cats game in Manchester on Sunday - they're playing Portland, and I bought the tickets ages ago for H's birthday. I'm not sure what else we'll do. There are a handful of movies out there that I really want to see, (This is the End, Much Ado About Nothing, The Kings of Summer, and I forget what else), so maybe we'll hit up a movie tomorrow afternoon. I need to cram them all in before July kills me!

How were the fireworks? We could hear them from the house but couldn't see them. I kind of give the city the side eye for doing them so early. Its not even July yet!
Have you guys been to Bronwyn yet?
They were good! Kids LOVED them. First time we've taken them. I think we're going to attempt the Boston fireworks this year, as well. I hear they'll be earlier since they're not being televised. The previous time of 10pm never worked with kids. Yeah it seemed really early. And tomorrow is Family Fun Day a Trum field. We might check that out.
Have not tried Bronwyn yet but have friends who rave about it. I wish they were open for lunch but it's dinner only.
Oh and additional recs for Kendall are Emma's pizza, my before movie go to, and Oleana.

Maybe we'll pass eachother on the ferry on Sunday. We're leaving tonight just for the weekend and coming back Sunday only to drive straight to Maine.
I am getting ready to run some errands today. Ikea, Paper Source, Costco, BJ's, Baby Gap, Pottery Barn Kids in the Natick Mall (the crib is FINALLY there, but the dresser is now not coming for several weeks, UGH!), the Container Store, the bird food store (I accidentally spilled a month worth of her food in attempt to find her when she was lost), the pool supply store, Whole Foods, the post office, and the bank. I am also going to call a chiropractor now and see if there is any way that I can get in for an appointment today or tomorrow.
Tomorrow we are going to the Cape to visit some of J's friends who are vacationing there.
Sunday I am meeting a friend for brunch in Brookline.
Monday I have an ultrasound and appointment. She mentioned after the ultrasound/checking my blood pressure she will decide if she wants to induce.
How's the knee feeling, RockNVoll? Its coming up on your year anniversary, right?
You're so sweet for remembering, thank you. Yes, almost a year since I had the surgery. Range of motion is still more limited than it should be so I'm still doing p.t. exercises to try to improve it. I have another appointment with my surgeon in about three weeks and if I haven't significantly improved by then she's going to try another cortisone shot. If that doesn't help, I think I'm SOL :^)
I've started playing some limited volleyball but it's kind of frustrating since I can't move the way I want or should. I'm glad to be back out there, but playing with the primary goal of not getting hurt as opposed to winning kind of changes the dynamics of the game.
I am SO sorry! Totally different surgeries, but almost 2 years later (wow, that was fast!) I am still completely numb in my chin and lower lip. I've just resigned myself to the fact that I will never have feeling there again.
Hoping your PT and exercises work. Fingers crossed for you!!!!

!!! Baby E could be here really soon! I am so excited!!!
And wow, mama, you certainly are keeping busy. Whew!
It just sounds like I am keeping busy because most of the time I don't change out of pajamas and barely leave the house!! I basically save a week or 2 worth of things for one day. Most days involve my couch, laptop, and bowls of ice cream.

Did I miss something while I was away?! Why is induction on the table? Hope everything is ok with you and Eli!
Each time I go to the doctor they have me pee on a stick. It had never changed colors before the last appointment, but the last time I was there it turned dark green, which meant there was an elevated level of protein in my urine. My blood pressure was also much higher than it had typically been. They took blood and saw that my liver counts were off and something else was high and something else (not really sure what) was low. They all point to signs of preeclampsia. She asked me to keep it calm, but didn't put any limitations on me other than not traveling. I had to cancel my trip to Chicago and Minneapolis.
She wants to keep the baby in as long as possible, but is doing the ultrasound to see how big he is incase my blood pressure increases. If it continues to go up she mentioned considering induction at 37 weeks. If it stays stable (still high, but not too high) then we will just keep waiting. I am now visiting her office twice as often as normal and am on a low dose of BP meds. They can be increased but may or may not work.

I'm going to Tower Hill Botanical gardens today with my mom if the weather clears. Tonight we'll grab drinks with friends that are out from AZ for a wedding tomorrow night. Tomorrow we're packing. Tomorrow night we'll stop by the wedding after dinner (we RSVP'ed no but that we'd stop by after dinner if possible) and Sunday we're moving all of our big stuff into the new house.
That is, if I'm not in the hospital during any of this ;-)
Tonight DH has fighter practice so I'm going to wrangle ToddlerL
Tomorrow we have a gal coming over to watch her for a few hours while DH and I try to dig out some of the basement. We have WAY too much crap. BTW, if anyone knows of someone who wants a pool table (practically new, stored in a very dry basement, already disassembled with crated slate), I'm your girl.
Sunday I get my hair cut and colored again. Any ideas for color this time?

How much do you want for the pool table? Might be fun to have in the basement.
fuddyduddy, are you flying out of MHT or Boston? The bus station at exits 4 and 2 do a Logan shuttle for a pretty reasonable price. It would depend how obscenely early your flight is, though. They start pretty early, but I'd check to be sure. Their parking is free (or was last time I used it).
Even though I'm on summer break, I am still glad it's Friday.
I woke up at 4AM with a shooting pain in my shoulder. This is the same pain I death with for about 2 years that just randomly stopped about a year ago. I booked a massage for next week, did some yoga and if neither of these work, I'm going to try a chiropractor.
I just checked to forecast - rain for the next week?! I was hoping to sit out by the pool. Maybe I still will, lol. There are umbrellas.
