DH and I leave for NYC in two weeks, and we're staying in midtown (West 45th Street, between Fifth and Sixth Avenues). Anyway, Friday is our anniversary. I asked a while back for some some nice restaurant suggestions, but figured we would just walk around and find whatever restaurant to go to instead. Will it be relatively easy to get a table at a decent restaurant on a Friday night (and Saturday, too)? We generally like to eat around 6:00, but don't mind waiting a bit. TIA!
You could call the hotel and ask for recommendations in close proximity, they can give you an idea of what's around. If there is somewhere specific you want to go I would make a reservation no matter the time you want to eat.

I'd say also check out the webpage www.opentable.com that way you can make some reservations before! Also, if you want to check what is around your hotel, check out www.menupages.com These are my go to websites for eating out.

True. We've actually been eating later too. Obviously DH and I won't be living on this strict schedule when we're away, so I bet we'll go out a bit later, now that I think about it.
