Volunteered today for XTerra Tahoe City. With a little Western States mania thrown in. But other than the 200+ lunges I did taking timing chips off athletes, no physical activity for me today.
I did a 48ish mile charity bike ride this morning in just under 2 and a half hours. It was only about 84 when we finished, so it wasn't bad. The high on this ride last year was 108!
It was SO humid on our run this morning. It's not even the temps, just the humidity. My shorts were slapping against my ass/thighs, & when I took my run swiftly tank off & wrang it out, I swear, I could have filled up a good portion of a solo cup. Ugh...
Saturday: It rained and I was with a sick baby all day (2nd ear infection in 45 days-ugh), so I just did Jillian Michaels' Yoga Meltdown levels 1 and 2. I suck at yoga, so it kicked my butt.
Sunday: 1.5 mile stroller walk, 3.5 mile run. It was gross and hot, par for the course this time of year
Friday: 3 mile stroller run. We got caught in a few sun showers. It was weird. Saturday: none, but I cleaned the house. that counts for something Sunday: 6.3ish mile run. It was about 65 degrees
I ran in Asheville, NC on Saturday. 6 miles. It was a glorious 83 degrees, not sure about the humidity, but compared to the air I have been drinking here, it felt GREAT! The run on the other hand, wasn't so great, but I didn't have pain and longest I've run since da'boot- so it's all good!
I worked out inside on Friday, took Saturday as a rest day, and ran 4 miles last night once the temperature finally dipped below 90. It's supposed to be over 100 pretty much all week, and I'd normally just go run by the bay where it's 20+ degrees cooler, but the trains aren't running because of a strike so the roads are awful.
Mine was all indoors. Not that it mattered because it was gorgeous this weekend. Friday was my PT exercises, Sat. was 30 min elliptical+PT exercises, Sun I was OOT so just my PT exercises.
I missed out on the only "cool" weather Friday morning because I was still too sore from weight lifting. Did a short run that night and came home pouring. I saved my long run until the very last minute (9:15 last night). It actually felt decent (83, 50% humidity), but I stayed up way too late and it threw me off this morning.
