Tomorrow is the day and I am half relieved and half feeling like a big,fat failure. I just keep thinking about what I could have done better, how I could have prevented this.
I don't think you could have done anything to prevent it. Some people just need some help to correct problems in their brain chemistry. Think of it as if she was diabetic. You wouldn't deny her insulin. This is just what she needs to function as the rest of us.
If you want to talk to someone who will understand I can give you my best friends contact info. You would be surprised how similar your stories are. She could be a sounding board. Let me know if you would like that.
I hope the appointment goes smoothly and you can get some peace.

Do not get down yourself! You have been an advocate for your daughter from day one. I think as parents, we all end up going down some paths that we never imagined. You are NOT a failure - you are just continuing to do everything you can to help your girl. Best of luck tomorrow and let us know how it goes. I'll be thinking of you!
I totally agree with all of the above. You have done everything you can do alleviate the issues without medication, but like all illnesses, when medication is needed, it can be the best thing. Hope you get everything you need for your family and more.

I totally agree with the other ladies, this is nothing that you did, there is nothing you could have done other than what you already have. I'm proud of you for being a proactive parent and doing this for your child even though it hurts.
