THIS GAL! In order to motivate myself to get back into running, I'm planning to run a 5k at the beginning of the fall. Which means I have to start training. So I laced up my shoes and loaded up my phone and set out for couch to 5k today. Temperature: 73. Dew point: 72. I'm pretty sure I will never stop sweating. Hold me, H&F. Except don't. Because that's gross.
Was it easier to get up today? Good luck to you and happy running!
I took my time actually getting out of bed today, but I did wake up easier. Today's alarm clock was of the feline variety. He's such an asshole in the mornings, but he's so cute.
And yeah, running in 90% humidity is pretty horrible. There were times it felt like I couldn't breathe because the air was so thick.
I just tried to do a quick run and the sweat pouring off my face was ridiculous. It is so humid here! Are you starting from scratch with the couch to 5k? That is what got me started!

Not exactly but kinda sorta.
I've done it multiple times before, and I ran really regularly for 2 years. Then a minor injury plus a ton of stress sidetracked me for the last 2 years.

Boo on the injury, but congrats on getting back into it. Enjoy!
And OP, on days where the weather is disgusting, I remind myself that it could be worse: running with a windchill below zero I don't know about you, but I'll take heat over cold any day of the week!

Nope, you don't know about me. I'd take cold temps over this ANY DAY.
Well, it's not always like this. Last week was brutally hot and humid. We had storms and lost our power for 2 days, so there's that.
And no one ever comes to Minneapolis for fun. I've never heard of anyone saying "let's go to Minneapolis for vacation!"
LOL, I'm going to Minneapolis on vacation this month!
Well, kind of. Technically, we're going because I am in my BFF's wedding. But it's a vacation for H!
It's a great city. A lot of people say it's like a colder Portland. But not in summer! You will get to see it in all it's glory. Not sure when exactly you will be here but the Aquatennial has a fun night time parade:

See, here's my thought- at least hot weather makes it easier to decide what to wear. As little as possible. But when it comes to cooler weather, it's such a guessing game.
