My little cousin is chatting with me on FB right now. As in, the little boy who was the ring bearer when I got married nearly 6 years ago. There's still a picture of me holding him up in my arms and swinging him around (he was small for 7 or 8). He is NOT old enough to be on FB, especially not chatting me on FB mobile! I'm having a moment.
I was having that with my little brother today who is 11 and just got men's size 10 shoes. He's my baby brother and I used to tote him around when he was a tiny baby! He's not allowed to be bigger than me!
Today he suggested that my mom mount a pillow on a headband so that he can rest his chin on top of my head.
Well that's just not nice of him Mel. He definitely sounds like a little brother.
I don't even know what to say to my cousin. Last time I saw him was my grandfather's funeral in 2008. He's the same age as the kids I work with! I'm such a dork.
Also, I want to ask about family, but I don't know how to refer to them. I just referred to my uncle as Uncle Firstname because I didn't know if I should call him my cousin's father or grandfather. Ick.
My aunt & uncle are raising my cousin. I think he knows that my older cousin is his mother, but I'm not 100% certain where that's all at. I want to ask if he talks to her, but I don't want to open a can of worms. Fucking complicated family.
That sounds complicated tiramisu. Could you talk to your Aunt and Uncle first so they can tell you what he knows and is comfortable with? The last place that kid should find out about stuff like that is via Facebook.

I was texting with my goddaughter the other day and made some comment about how DS turning 4 kind of made me feel old. She came back with "I'm going to be 20 in October, think about THAT!"
