I've been searching online for a new light fixture for our dining room. I'm looking for something that is around 26 inches wide. I'd like to keep it to under $200 but if it's truly the perfect fixture, I would go up to $300. We tend to prefer styles that are more classic.
I really like how this room looks:
So far I've looked at: Wayfair.com, DestinationLighting.com, Ballards, LightingDirect.com, Joss and Main, Pottery Barn and Overstock. Are there any other sites that I am missing or that you would recommend?
Whatever store you shop at online, make sure to use ebates. I won't even link to get the referral....I was just impressed with the number of lighting stores to use through them and how nice it was to get some money back.
I liked Bellacor and bought my DR chandelier from Lighting Direct (via ebates). I started by visiting lighting stores to see brands and styles in person then searching more online.
Joss and Main and One Kings Lane have lighting sales as well from time to time. If you're not in a rush, sometimes you can find a really good deal on there. I got my island lights about 60% off retail and they had my DR chandelier at 50% off what I paid for it, 3 months after I bought it.
Thanks, sratsey. I really liked one of the lights that I saw on Joss and Main, but I was a little wary since it was final sale. I suppose I could always try to resell it on Craigs List or something though.
