It's so sad that LEVAR BURTON, of Reading Rainbow to educate and inform and love children, feels the need to act defensively every time he's pulled over and his son has had to learn the same lesson. And it's a lesson any African American male has to consider as well. Is there some history of reminding minority white people that powerful black people hold them in contempt by calling them crackers? I'm not sure I see the equivalence here. One is a stereotype, one is an implied threat.
